Cindy Hlavacek, MD, General Surgery

Dr. Hlavacek is originally from Charlotte, NC. She attended Vanderbilt University for her undergraduate degree, majoring in biomedical engineering and graduating with cum laude honors. She attended the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill for medical school and then went on to complete her general surgery residency at Brookwood Baptist Health in Birmingham, AL. After residency, she joined Northeast Alabama Surgical Associates in 2021. Her primary interests are robotic surgery and breast cancer management. She is a diplomat of the American Board of Surgery and a 2025 fellow candidate for the American College of Surgeons. She married an Alabama native, Drew Bailey, and they enjoy traveling, hiking, cooking, and gardening.
